Dr. Crystal LaFlamme is a structural geologist and mineral deposits expert with a focus on orogenic gold and VMS systems. She has experience completing remote and mine site fieldwork in the Canadian Arctic and on four continents. Her expertise focuses on structural and chemical controls of precious and base metal deposits at multiple scales and commodities. Crystal recently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre for Exploration Targeting in Western Australia, where she worked closely with industry to develop best-practices for mineral exploration targeting in the near-mine and greenfields settings. She completed her PhD at the University of New Brunswick, which focused on mapping and understanding the structural and metamorphic evolution of a high-grade terrane in the Canadian Arctic.
• Structural controls on orogenic gold
