Micaela Matthews is a Geological Engineer-in-Training with four years of experience in a variety of geotechnical engineering applications, including geotechnical rock core and soils drilling/logging, and televiewer surveying. She received her Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. Project experience includes geotechnical field drilling programs, kinematic analysis of rock slopes, and conducting televiewer surveys and data interpretation. To date, she has completed over 30,000 meters of data interpretation.
Experience Highlights
Geotechnical investigations for underground and open pit mines (geotechnical core logging, packer testing, vwp installations, and well installations)
Televiewer survey data collection and interpretation
Geotechnical logging and sampling of soil and rock for site-wide subsurface investigations (boreholes, test pits and well installations)
Kinematic analysis of structural data for open pit mine design (using Rocscience software)
